How to Cook Yam

Yam you may know as sweet potato. It is not identical to sweet potato. The raw yam is yellow orange color inside, and sweet potato is yellow. You may use to eat potato in many way, same way you can do in the yam. But yam is much sweet than potato, and more cream than potato. It is health and nature sweet. It is also cheap.

Step1: Go to supermarket to buy some yam. Pick those have good shape, and not start to dry out yam. Some store keep yam too long, and you will feel the yam start to dry. It is still OK to cook this kind of yam, but if you can find fresh one why not.

Step2: Before you going to cook, wash them first. I use to cook two yam in one time. It will be around 1.5 to 2 LB. Wipe dry your yam, and put one microwave dish, and with losing cover. If you have potato cook function on your microwave, just use that function. Or Set to high for 3 min and 20 seconds.

Step3: Repeat Step2 again, and wrap yam with foil paper, and put in the oven. have oven set to 450F. Leave Yam in oven for 30 mins, or wait to have sweet smell. And it is ready to eat. Cut yam to half and put chess or bacon bites on it. Use spoon to enjoy.
